From 1935 to 1937, the Aula Baratto underwent its first of two major restorations designed by architect Carlo Scarpa, appointed by the university’s rector at the time, Agostino Lanzillo. This restoration improved the Hall’s defining architectural features, including the frescos and inscriptions on the walls, the wooden boiserie near the entrance, and the intricate window design on the opposite side.
